Hello and welcome to my channel guys!!
Today’s blog post entails the fabulous model of ‘Mobile Social Media Advice’ and the four I’s that it entails!

This model includes four very important features that should be accessible in an app, in order to satisfy consumer needs. The four I’s consist of INDIVIDUALISE, INVOLVE, INITIATE and INTERGRATE!
I’m going to make this easy for everybody today by relating this model to one of the most well known apps around the world…..SNAPCHAT!

Now, how does snapchat individualise its app to appeal to each individuals preferences and interests?
Well, Snapchat has created a page where you can view all of your friends stories. On this same page there is also a subscription section that consists of celebrities and different contents of interests. Snapchat has enabled this part to be individualised in the sense that based on what you subscribe to, the stories featured underneath are related to your interests and preferences. An example, if you subscribe to certain basketball players snapchat stories, below will be an articles about basketball or sport. This changes for every single consumer…is which pretty cool if you ask me.
On snapchat you can involve yourself on the app by engaging in conversation with people. Conversations can easily be started by sending a snapchat picture, video, or replying to someone. You can even start are chat without video or photos now…WOW!

Snapchat has been able to marvellously include user-generated content. On the homepage where all stories, short videos and articles are included, they have a section where consumers can involve themselves in user based content. For example one of my personal favourites is called ‘Life Hacks’ – it includes photos or videos of consumers posting their own life hacks – anyone on snapchat can view or post to the story.

Snapchat also lets you guys integrate your daily activities into the app. You can post photos wherever you go as long as you have Wi-Fi or 4G. You can also save memories in the app, and look at soooo many past memories, basically the same thing as time travel!

So thats it for todays blog post, thanks for tuning into my channel and I hope you learnt somethin new!
Please like and subscribe! xoxo
I think its crazy how quickly snapchat took off and how its kept momentum by really not changing that much…I think it will always one-up Facebook and Instagram because it was the first to use this technology!
Awesome blog!

I remember when snapchat did not even have the ability to send messages! Now it implements the 4 “I”s of social media greatly and now even has the feature to track people’s whereabouts. Great blog!

Great work Francesca! It is really interesting to see how Snapchat is continuing to grow in the social media market and how important it is for celebrity accounts and memes to be seen and shared through subscriptions.
